Flappy Bird's rumored comeback sparks crypto scam fears, with the original creator denying involvement. Fans suspect a shady Web 3.0 venture.

Crypto scams are nothing new, especially in the rapidly evolving world of crypto gaming.

But now, a familiar name from the past is making waves - Flappy Bird.

After a decade of silence, reports surfaced that the iconic mobile game might be making a comeback.

However, this revival has stirred suspicion among fans who suspect it could be a crypto scam.

The excitement was palpable when news broke that Flappy Bird might be returning.

But the joy was short-lived as doubts emerged, suggesting that the game’s relaunch might be linked to dubious crypto ventures.

Dong Nguyen, the original mastermind behind Flappy Bird, took to Twitter to clear the air. Nguyen firmly stated, “No, I have no connection with their game. I did not sell anything. I also don’t support crypto.”

Court documents reveal that Gametech Holdings LLC has seized Nguyen’s trademark due to inactivity, giving them free rein over the game.

Recent findings indicate that hidden sections of the Flappy Bird website hint at crypto integration, with messages like, “The original Flappy Bird is back and will fly higher than ever on Solana as it soars into Web 3.0.” The site also teases features like “build, create, play, and stake to own.”

The new owners of Flappy Bird have yet to officially address the accusations.

However, a representative shared their enthusiasm, stating, “We are beyond excited to be bringing back Flappy Bird and delivering a fresh experience that will keep players engaged for years to come.

We have big plans for our little Bird.
